Fair Use and Copyright for Educational Use

What is Fair Use?

Fair Use means that someone can use copyrighted work by reproduction of copies, or by other means for the sole purposes of criticism, comment, news reporting, scholarship, research, or in teaching with multiple copies for classroom use.

What is Copyright?

Copyright is a congressional grant given to an author of an original work, which protects the work on a limited monopoly right.
